i have survived days 1 and 2
so the first two days of medical school have come and gone. it's all been very exciting, interesting, fun, and a little overwhelming. my classmates seem like a really great group of people. Hopkins is launching a brand new curriculum with our class that seems like a really thoughtful improvement on medical education. our perk for being the guinea pig class is that we are the first to use the shiny, sparkly, brand new Medical Education Building. it is amazing...many of my classmates and i have already considered canceling our leases and moving in permanently.
i'm kind of still living out of boxes and have been functioning on less sleep than i really need. all this seems like the perfect conditions to start anatomy class next week. Yay!!

Boo is popular with the ladies
While we were in Colorado visiting Megan, two young ladies expressed a lot of interest in Boo. First there was the little Paige who we met in Fort Collins. She tried to catch his attention by feeding him Apple Jax. Unfortunately, she was an 18 month old little girl, so I don't think it would work out. Then Loki, Megan's 9 month old puppy, really put the moves on Boo but he played hard to get. If he wasn't so paranoid that I would abandon him in Golden he might have realized that Loki is quite a looker.
